Extreme Weather Plan

Prescott Residents! Twenty on Tuesdays Awaits!

Wondering how weather might impact your tickets? Check out our Extreme Weather Plan!

WATCHING THE RADAR
Our team closely monitors multiple weather apps and radars, in an attempt to predict that night’s anticipated weather. We are watching for ‘extreme weather’ which could include extreme heat, thunderstorms, or other events.

We do not move indoors for every weather occurrence, our outdoor shows will continue through light rain

WHAT’S INVOLVED IN THE MOVE?
In order to switch venues, the team needs over an hour to move all the costumes, props, and set pieces – and to get the actors properly prepared for a show at each venue.

This means that a decision is normally made approximately 90 minutes before a performance and cannot be changed at the last minute.

SPREADING THE WORD
In the event that we decide to move the show to our extreme-weather venue:

  • An email will be sent to all patrons with tickets purchased for that performance, notifying them.
  • We will also always post a venue change on Facebook and Instagram.

This notification will happen no later than one hour before showtime.

If you do not see a post, or do not get an email (if you have tickets), then the show has not been moved indoors and will proceed at the amphitheatre.

WHERE ARE WE MOVING TO?
Any moved performance will be held at

St. Andrew’s Church
425 Centre Street
Prescott, ON

It is still the full show as usual, just moved to a more intimate location.

Please, refrain from assuming the show has been moved unless you have received confirmation from the Festival via email or a post on our social media.

PREDICTING THE FUTURE
Our goal is to always have a show for you each night, no matter the weather. But sometimes radars shift and it’s too late to switch venues.

Unfortunately, this is when we would have to cancel a performance (a very rare occurrence).

If you have booked tickets to a cancelled performance, you will receive an email with an extreme-weather voucher, which you can use for any future performance this season or next.

THANK YOU ALL
Outdoor theatre is beautiful, and also sometimes presents unique challenges to face, like the ever-changing weather.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate this system (and attempt to predict the weather).

We look forward to sharing the season with you!
