INFO FOR ARTISTS

Thank you for your interest in the St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival!

Each summer, we hire a team of theatre professionals to make our season possible. This team includes actors, stage managers, directors, designers, and more, depending on the needs of the specifics shows.

Audition notices are sent out through Canadian Actors Equity Association's e-drive and will also be posted on this page, when live.

Actors, and all theatre professionals, interested in working with the Festival are welcome to reach out to our Co-Artistic Directors, Julia Nish-Lapidus and James Wallis, to introduce themselves. Please send any emails to ad@stlawrenceshakespeare.ca.

The St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival strives for non-traditional casting in our work and we strongly encourage submissions from artists of diverse backgrounds including, but not limited to: race, ethnicity, gender, body-type, and sexuality.
Additional information:
The St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival is now accepting submissions for upcoming general auditions to be held in Toronto. We are looking to meet new artists and see their work. We are particularly interested in hearing from actors with strong singing skills. Please note: Ottawa auditions will be announced shortly.
Nestled along the scenic St. Lawrence River, we present world-class productions in our riverside outdoor amphitheatre, located in Prescott, Ontario. Our repertoire includes Shakespearean classics, innovative interpretations, musical celebrations, and original works, catering to audiences of all ages.
We thank everyone for their interest; however only those selected for an audition will be contacted.
Successful candidates will be contacted with more details and to set-up an audition time.
Please email a resume and headshot to ad@stlawrenceshakespeare.ca no later than Tuesday, October 29.
Please include in the body of your email if you have any known conflicts on the auditions days, and whether you would like a musical or acting only audition. Selected actors will be invited to share either one Shakespeare monologue and a song, or two contrasting monologues.
No agent submissions, please. We prefer to hear directly from the artist and encourage agents to share the call with their rosters.
We look forward to hearing from you!
- Auditions are held in a venue that is free of physical barriers and artists are invited to reach out to make arrangements for any needs or accommodations.
